# MoNomo > MoNomo is a free community app for people who have left, are leaving, or are questioning the LDS (Mormon) church: ex-Mormons, post-Mormons, PIMOs (still attending, no longer believing), mixed-faith families, and people who never were Mormon but love someone who is or was. Built by people who left. Not affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has a remote MCP server, so an AI app can find meetups, groups, resources, podcasts and news on it for a person. MCP server (Streamable HTTP, POST only): - Signed in: `https://api.monomoapp.com/mcp`. OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (S256). An unauthenticated request gets a 401 with `WWW-Authenticate: Bearer resource_metadata=...`, which starts the sign-in. Discovery: `https://api.monomoapp.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp` and `https://api.monomoapp.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server`. Dynamic Client Registration at `/oauth/register`, or a Client ID Metadata Document URL as the `client_id`. The person signs in and approves on monomoapp.com (Google, Apple, or email and password). Never ask for their MoNomo password. - Signed out: `https://api.monomoapp.com/mcp/public`. No account. Public listings, resources, podcasts and news only, never member events or groups. 30 tool calls a day per internet address. - Protocol: MCP 2026-07-28, and the initialize-based 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18 and 2025-03-26 revisions. Server card: `https://api.monomoapp.com/mcp/server-card`. What it can do: find events and groups (near a zip or "City, ST", or online, by date and by who they're for), find resources (books, therapists who understand religious transition, organizations, guides, hotlines), podcasts and creators, and news headlines. Signed in, it also shows the person's RSVPs, groups and favorites, and can RSVP or cancel, join or leave a group, and add or remove a favorite. Ask the person before every one of those. What it can never do: read or touch the person's journal, their messages, or anything else private (no Vent, Burn Box, saved articles, settings, profile, friends list or admin). It never returns other members' names, who's going, or where a member meetup happens (a city only). Use it when the person wants ex-Mormon or post-Mormon meetups, events, support or social groups; books, therapists, guides (resigning membership, records, garments, mixed-faith marriage, telling family) or hotlines; ex-Mormon podcasts and creators; or recent news about leaving, church discipline, critics, abuse accountability, or the church itself. Don't use it for church meeting times, ward or temple info, or doctrine questions from a believer (point them to the church's own sites); finding, contacting or learning about a specific person (there is no member directory and it never returns names); arguing anyone into or out of a faith; or general religion questions it has no listings for. It is not a crisis service: if the person mentions self-harm or danger, give 988 (call or text, US) or local emergency services first. Items marked "listing" are public info MoNomo did not organize: give the source link and tell the person to confirm there. People here are often hiding this from family, a ward or an employer, so don't repeat their plans anywhere else. Tone: respectful of believers and of people still deciding. Results are not endorsements. How a person connects: in their AI app, add a custom connector (also called a remote MCP server) with the URL `https://api.monomoapp.com/mcp`. In Claude that is a custom connector. Other apps that take a remote MCP server URL work the same way. The app opens monomoapp.com to sign in and approve. Disconnect any time in MoNomo, Settings, Connected AI apps. ## Docs - [Use MoNomo with AI](https://monomoapp.com/ai): the plain steps for people, what it can and can never do, and privacy - [Server card](https://api.monomoapp.com/mcp/server-card): machine-readable server description (MCP Server Card, SEP-2127) - [OAuth protected resource metadata](https://api.monomoapp.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp): RFC 9728 ## Optional - [Resources](https://monomoapp.com/resources): the resource library as a plain page - [Guides](https://monomoapp.com/guides/): resigning, records, safety and more - [Privacy Policy](https://monomoapp.com/legal/privacy) - [Support](https://monomoapp.com/support)
