Organizer Agreement

Version 2026-10-08. Last updated: October 8, 2026

Starting a group on MoNomo means you agree to this, on top of the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Every new group and every new event is reviewed by a person before it goes live (and again if you change what or where it is). You are taking care of people who may have been hurt by a community before. Act like it.

1.You are independent

In short: your group is yours, not ours.

You are not an employee, agent, partner, or representative of MoNomo. Approving your group is not an endorsement of you, your group, or any event, and it is not a promise that anything is safe. Don't say or imply that your group is official, sponsored, or run by MoNomo. MoNomo is not affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and neither is your group, unless you say so plainly.

2.A safe space for LGBTQ+ people, and everyone else

In short: affirming, always. No exceptions for "beliefs."

Every group must be open and safe for LGBTQ+ people. You may not exclude, demean, or pressure anyone because of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion or lack of it, disability, age (over 18), or body. Use people's names and pronouns. Groups built around changing, "healing," or discouraging anyone's sexual orientation or gender identity are not allowed. A group can be for a specific community (for example, a trans support group or a women's book club) as long as it isn't a cover for keeping people out.

3.No proselytizing, recruiting, or reactivation

In short: nobody comes here to be converted, in either direction.

You may not use a group to convert, recruit, or "reactivate" anyone for any church, religion, or anti-religion cause. That includes missionary, ministering, or "rescue" contacts, and reporting who attends to any church leader or member. Faith-based groups are welcome when they are clearly labeled and people choose to be there.

4.Attendee privacy: never out anyone

In short: who came, and why, stays in the room.

Never tell anyone (family, ward or church leaders, employers, the internet) that someone attended, or anything about their faith status, sexual orientation, or gender identity. No photos, video, or posts that identify an attendee without that person's clear, specific permission. Use attendee lists only to run your group.

5.Honest listings

Your group and events must match their description: date, time, public place, cost, and who it's for. Post changes and cancellations promptly. Meet in public places, never at a private home for a first meeting.

6.No harassment, online or in person

No harassment, threats, bullying, stalking, or unwanted sexual attention, in the app or at events. You are expected to step in, or end the event, if someone is being harmed.

7.Adults only; 21+ where there's alcohol

Organizers and attendees must be 18 or older. Any event that serves or centers on alcohol is 21+, and you must either check ID or hold it at a licensed venue that does.

8.Follow the law and the venue

Follow all applicable laws, including Utah alcohol law (licensed venues only, no selling alcohol yourself, no serving minors or visibly intoxicated people), anti-discrimination law, venue rules, capacity limits, and any permits needed for parks or public spaces.

9.No sales, MLMs, or paid pitches

No selling, multi-level marketing, paid coaching or therapy pitches, or fundraising through your group without written approval from MoNomo first. Groups are free to join. If an event has a real cost (a venue, a ticket), say so in the listing; you handle that money and any refunds yourself.

10.Your event, your responsibility

You are responsible for planning your events, choosing the venue, and how things go there, including having a plan if something goes wrong. If anyone is in danger, call 911. If someone is in crisis, point them to 988 (call or text). Report safety incidents, threats, harassment, or illegal conduct to MoNomo (the Report button or support@monomoapp.com) within 24 hours, and cooperate with any review.

11.You are you

Use your real identity with MoNomo (your display name can be a first name). You may not sell or hand off a group without our approval. Please name a backup organizer for your group.

12.Approval and removal

MoNomo approves every group and event and may refuse, pause, edit, remove, transfer, or close any group, event, or organizer at any time, with or without notice, and owes no compensation for doing so.

13.Your group's content

You keep ownership of what you write. You give MoNomo a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to show your group's name, description, and images in the app and to promote MoNomo. You confirm you have the right to post them.

14.Risk, release, and indemnity

Meeting people in person carries real risks, and taking part is voluntary. To the extent the law allows, you release MoNomo from claims arising from your group, your events, and disputes between users, and you agree to cover claims against MoNomo that come from your events, your content, or your breaking this agreement. None of this covers MoNomo's own gross negligence or willful misconduct. Larger events should use venues that carry their own liability insurance.

15.Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Utah, the same as the Terms of Service, including how disputes are handled there.
